In the recent time, lot of people learn music, that sounds great! But are they on the right track ? ? ?
Being a musician and a mad lover of music, I always wanted to feel the soul of the music and admire the instruments played and the way it was composed. I love music in some or the other way and no way it disappointed me.
Listening to music is good, but the beauty of it is only when you understand it. The way it was composed and how the notes run from the lower to the higher and from the higher to the lower, how every note is played, what instruments was used and lot more. Sometimes, I would go crazy that I can't express the joy of listening to music and I would travel deep into it.
I'm not sure how many of them know about "Led Zeppelin" or have listened to "Stairway To Heaven"? Not sure, if they've heard the albums of "The Beatles", "Ramones", "Queen" or atleast the "Deep Purple"? If people haven't heard it and call themselves that they love music, I don't think they heard the real music.
Why to the west ? Why not our regional folk ? I wonder how many know that the "Rakkama Kaiya Thattu" from the movie Thalapathi, composed by Illayaraja, was one among the songs listed in a BBC World Top Ten Music Poll ?
There are lot of song that was composed in a way that you would have never dreamed off. Not just Mozart and Beethavon, but there are lot more who made souls melt or bounce in joy.
Let's listen, make and cherish rich music. Always remember, music is not just a noise, it's carving you inside and for sure takes you to heaven..!
